Default Converting my VW Caddy P/U

I have a VW rabbit pickup truck with an 84 1.6 NA Jetta engine in it. I am going to convert it over the next few weeks and am piecing it together with different components.

System Components:

I already have a 40 gallon tank from an old conversion.

Buying a Hot Fox tank heater (the best price I found was 192.50, any better sources?)

I have left over aluminum fuel lines and heater hose so I will do a HIH system. Now that I think about it, is it possible to do a HIH system on a Hot Fox?

I am also going to pick up a 12V heated filter (still looking for an inexpensive source).

Throw in a FPHE (best price anyone?) in line.

And two hydroforce frybrid valves that I pulled off of my bus.

Was thinking of a vegtherm before the injector.

As for the wiring I was going to have it be a manual system this time around.

Does this sound like a reliable system? Please add any comments that would improve it. Thanks!

Make your own.
Filter base (I think most use a 1-14 thread - but I could be wrong)
Heater wrap. Done.

Looks solid to me.

I have a hot fox and tube in hose (not sure why you would think it cant be done).

I paid 192.50 for my hot fox, dont think there is a better price I think the place was called vegematics

look at dudadiesel.com for a FPHE, mine has worked great for the first couple thousand mile after converting my 240D in August. (thanks al for the recommendation)

p.s. I did a tube in hose with the "hoseclamp" method from instructables.com I used a greasecar 5/8x5/8x/58 tee and it has worked great. Very cheap and rebuildable, you should check it out for a cheap TIH

Great thanks guys! Super helpful. Vegematics was the company I was looking at too, good to know. I also saw their sweet Griffin (racor style) filters. They look great and for $130 bucks I don't think I can go wrong. I am swapping my frybrid 12v heater on the bus with a larger flow griffin too. Can't be too careful.

Do you recommend a 10 plate or 20 plate FPHE?

I have the 20 plate on my 05 Jetta and it works fine. Not sure if the 10 plate would do it, but guess probably.
